How early do the MLB players practice before a game?
Becky asked: I am going to my first MLB game next week and I want to see the players practice, workout, or stretch before the game. How early (hours, mins) should I arrive to the park before the game so I can see them?
Thanks in advance!

It depends on the team, but I’m a huge dodgers fan and on night games I go about two hours early and see batting practice and get autographs.

It depends on the team and how early they open the stadium to the public before game time. I would check on their website or call their ticket office to find out.

Batting practice is uasually the best time to talk to players, get a ball or an autograph (or both). This happens 2 hours or so before the game. I don’t know about other stadiums, but Kaufmann opens the gates 3 hours prior to game time.

I went to the yankees-orioles games last week in baltimore, and the park didnt open until like 4:30 or 5 and the games started at 7..Some players start warming up early in the morning. Batting practice usually starts 2 hours before the game
